So GM decides to dump some of there dealers or actually they dump a lot of them.
Of course this is gone cost jobs and that is sad but on the other hand is it worth to be a dealership of a brand if you sell less then 35 cars a year?
Coming from a country where every town has 1 or maybe 2 dealerships for 1 brand it is still strange to me to see all the same kind of dealerships in once city. Often I even wonder why there are so many dealerships of one brand so close together. Who was thinking when those dealerships where handed out?
I personally believe that the time has come that some of those brands just need to go bankrupt for me it would be sad because i own a Jeep and what would happen with my warrenty but really there is no logic at all to keep those brands going.
Where they sleeping the last 10 years? To me they where, if you see how brands from outside North America evoled there cars and how the brands here just did nothing should mean that the only thing they can do is stop.

In these Tech days who really wants to carry around one of thos BIG maps when going on a hike?
For instance it can be handy just to have a map on your iPhone or printing the part your really need yourself.
While browing the net for a map of Canada i found lots of topographical maps that cossetted lots of money, but then I found this http://atlas.nrcan.gc.ca a goverment serivce with free maps.
And it able to give me maps up to 1:20000 and to me that is more then enough for a hiking trip.
So stop paying for maps of canada you can get them for free!
The City is thinking about introducing more Car Pool Lanes in Calgary.
In a way that is a great idea specially if it happends like it does on 10 Street and Centre street in rush hour where one lane of the other sides traffic is added to the other side so that the bussy road side gets an extra lane.
But how does this work on a road like Country Hills Boulavard or 16 Ave?
To me these roads are not really up to an special Car Pool Lane.
For me those lanes are not really helping any ways because I can’t car pool as i am having a job that makes me drive all over the city working by myself. I would love to pool but it is just not something that can happen. And I guess there are a lot of us out there that can’t pool because of this reason and to me it almost seems that we get punished for working.
Maybe it would be better if they give Car Poolers a tax credit or something that way you can pool any where and that will clear out the roads a bit.
What do you all think of the Plans?
Lets do some cool webcams on this site and lets start with the webcam that shows the office of TechCrunch.
Maybe you noticed phone calls from (604)-687-0142 in lots of cases they call in the day when you are not home but when you then get them on the phone one time they try to bug you to get a subscription to the Calgary Herald newspaper.
It is anoying that if you signed up for not getting those unwanted phone calls the newspapers and the “good causes” are still able to call you. So what can you do to make it stop?
First you can write to the customer service department of the Calgary Herald at calgaryherald@reachcanada.com and then they will try to get you address and I did not give it to them why do they need my name and address to remove me from there marketing phonelist?
Then you can also contact the company that calls you RSP Customer Care Centres who do not really seem to care about customers! On their website they have the option to delist you phone nr and for me that did not get me of the phone list they use.
So i tried something else. I wrote and email to every email address i could find on there website.
Being :
dnc@rsvpcare.com
leslie@rsvpcare.com
james@rsvpcare.com
connie@rsvpcare.com
I don’t know if this helped but at least I bugged them a bit and if this isn’t enough to stop it then I will start calling them at there office nr 604.687.0615 and you could of course also try to call the nr they call you with 604.687.0142
Come on People let this shit stop do something back to them!
In these difficult economic times we all could use a little help.
Specially for those of us who not have much to live on there now is the website www.reducepoverty.ca and on that site you can find a Government Benefits calculator that can tell you what you are entitled to and how to apply.
Maybe you think you do not deserve any but you could be wrong there, I would say check it out and see if you can get any money back.
Do you have an iPhone but no dataplan?
Listen up this is what I found. I am with Fido and do not have a data plan. But when I was at a place that has a Rogers / Fido hotspot they let me use it for free because I have an iPhone. My friend who has an iPod Touch was not so lucky and just needed to pay if he wanted to use it.
So having an iPhone in Canada go give it a try.
This makes me wonder if people who have iPhones abroad have an similar experience and if this works accross borders????

This year we will start doing some Guerrilla Gardening.
As you can see on the picture we have the basics and are almost ready to go.
I was thinking about all that C02 stuff in our air and how bad it seem to be so why not plant some more green that can make it back in to something we can use
So I have some spots where I think some fresh greens would be an great addition. Specially next to busy road ways where the bad pollution is the worst.
Keep coming back and see the progress we will make over the season.
We will mainly focus on Calgary so the season is not even there yet but coming soon…….
OK so now your iPhone or iPod Touch is stuck and does not want to do anything any more hmmmm what to do now????
Let me tell you how to do a reset on these nice devices.
Hold the top (on/off) button and the home (round button on the front) both at the same time for at least 10 seconds till the Apple logo shows up.
That is it after that you should be OK again.
So now you know how to reset your iPhone and your iPod Touch. And it works with the iPhone 3G and the Touch 2e generation to.
