Nokia 1208 Keypad lock

Yes I got a new cell phone and the manual is not that great as usual.

But how do I lock my keyboard from my Nokia 1208? It took a bit of surfing but finally I was able to find a way to get the keys of my phone locked it works as follows:

Press MENU and then the * key and to unlock just do it the same way.

    My hero too. Googled it and found you . yes phone is very good as for my 80 year old mum . but user manual not much in it to work out how to use phone. Thank you so much !!

    The manual was full of non essential crap, but there was nothing about locking the keypad.

    I’m on a business trip to India and my company gave me this phone. I couldnt figure out how to lock it but thanks to google and your blog I now know how.

    There is an alternative, which is to activate the keypad lock via the ‘right key’ option (top right navigator) which gives a whole menu of stuff which can be stored in the ‘right click window’ slected and activated. Yours is simpler! But the feature might be useful for accessing other features. And why would they not tell us all this?
