New iPhone but same outside

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

Apple introduced the new iPhone and we are all happy about that are we :)
I am for sure not gone upgrade from my iPhone 3G to the new 3Gs it just offers to little upgrades for me to make it worth the extra money.

But Apple was nice to the people who are going to upgrade from the 3G to the 3G S because the outside is exactly the same and that means that you can use you cases for instance and your stand like i have the Podium and this makes it a lot cheaper for people to upgrade because now we don’t have to shell some more money on all the accessories we need and want.

So if you are thinking about upgrading then you can forget about the accessories :)

A new iPhone does mean better specs and with the New iPhone 3GS the camera will be 3 mega pixel and has auto focus to. And that make me wonder the case is the same maybe the other parts still work the same way to ok faster does not automatically mean different layout of the main board and so that makes me wonder if it would be possible to order a camera of an iPhone 3GS and build it in to an iPhone 3G.

If that could work then that would be the best hack for an iPhone I can think off.

What do you think, will it be possible??

Free Rogers and Fido wireless internet

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

Do you have an iPhone but no dataplan?

Listen up this is what I found. I am with Fido and do not have a data plan. But when I was at a place that has a Rogers / Fido hotspot they let me use it for free because I have an iPhone. My friend who has an iPod Touch was not so lucky and just needed to pay if he wanted to use it.

So having an iPhone in Canada go give it a try.

This makes me wonder if people who have iPhones abroad have an similar experience and if this works accross borders????

Gmail Theme and the weather

Sunday, December 7th, 2008

Gmail now offers different themes to make your emailing experience look nicer.

And there seem to be a nice feature in there. After you select a theme it asks you for you location.

After that you local weather can be a part of your theme.

I use the bus stop theme and most times it shows me a giraffe with a long long neck but then this week it was raining and there where the umbrellas. And today it snows lots and guess what there now is a big Snowman and some people at the bus stop with snowboards, penguins and of course hats and mits.

So isn’t this the perfect way of making you computer behave like your real world?

Car Key range extender

Saturday, December 6th, 2008

Ever wondered how you could extend the range of the remote in your car key?

If so then I found a little simple trick to do so. I have seen it on an episode of Top Gear a while ago but never really tried till yesterday evening when I forgot to lock my car and i got to far away to use the remote as i normally do.

My Car a Jeep Patriot has one of those keys (see picture) with all the stuff build in it.
To extend the range simply hold the key against your head yes i am not kidding and then press the button and you will see it works. So no difficult electronics or stronge batteries just hold the key against your head and let your body be your range extender.

It is hard to believe so I kept trying it for a couple of times and there is no other conclusion to get then It works.

Nokia 2760 speaker volume

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

I noticed that the volume of my Nokia 2760 cell phone was a bit low and now how do I get to hear better well it is simple.

Just call someone or let receive a call and then press the right control to make the volume go up. It will remember the setting so from then on you get to hear a little bit better.

lock remote to your Mac Book Pro

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

Guess you have two Mac Book Pro’s and a remote then you will find that both will act to the remote at the same time. But if you turn on one mac and then hold the Menu and the fast forward button pressed till you see a chain logo appear above a remote then the mac will only respond to this remote.

Very handy when you have two macs and remotes.

You can unpair the mac going to the security tap and then unpair.

Multiple Logitech V470 Bluetooth mice

Monday, September 1st, 2008

I use my V470 Mouse from Logitech a while now and love that it is wireless and doesn’t need a usb stick to make it happen.

But now a friend got the same mouse and that made me think that it could end up in to a fight between mice But it didn’t our macs paired just with the one we wanted and now they just work with the one we installed it with.

It is a great mouse specially if you don’t want to worry about cables and stuff.
