How to make links open in a tab in Safari

Sunday, June 6th, 2010

OK Apple like Safari so why would I not give it a try on my new clean computer?

So with only Safari on it (for now) I quickly found something that drove me nuts and that is by default links open in a new window instead of a tab.

After some searching I found the sollution.

Close Safari (really quit it) then go to terminal and type

defaults write com.apple.Safari TargetedClicksCreateTabs -bool true

And that is it you did it now links open by default in a tab :)

Lets waste some iPad’s

Monday, May 3rd, 2010

Most of us out there heard about the new Apple tablet computer the iPad and yes the iPad is high on my wish list.

But what are people thinking these days I now ran in to so many video’s that basicly break the iPad and why I can’t really say. It is such a waste of money and resources and what about the poor people who want an iPad but can’t buy one yet because stupid people buy them to break them.

Let me list what I found so far:

It all started with this iPad smashing video that was live on the day they went on sale in the US

Then there was this video that “tests” the iPad and how long it will last. For me another unnecesary thing. Do you buy an iPad to drop it a couple of time on the floor?

Then there is the typical blender video to see if it blends in a blender. Great the iPad does not even fit in the blender so they removed the back and bended it so it would fit.

and now the last one I found today. Someone put an iPad in a microwave and yes we all know it is gone break.

And the last video even used the 64gb iPad 3G the most expensive of them all.

People can we stop doing these stupid video just to get some attention?

If you really want attention do something good or different that does not waste a 500 dollar machine that is brand new. Would you go buy a car and drive it in to a wall? because to me that is the same thing you know it is gone break.

Gmail Theme and the weather

Sunday, December 7th, 2008

Gmail now offers different themes to make your emailing experience look nicer.

And there seem to be a nice feature in there. After you select a theme it asks you for you location.

After that you local weather can be a part of your theme.

I use the bus stop theme and most times it shows me a giraffe with a long long neck but then this week it was raining and there where the umbrellas. And today it snows lots and guess what there now is a big Snowman and some people at the bus stop with snowboards, penguins and of course hats and mits.

So isn’t this the perfect way of making you computer behave like your real world?
