MS Society of Canada part 2

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

Remember my first post of the money the MS Society send me?

So after sending me 5 cents and a bunch of address labels in September today the mailman again brought me an envelope full of address labels and 5 cents from the MS Society of Canada.

That means in two months they send me so many address labels that I now have enough for the next 10 years and again I got some changes. But why do they keep bugging me with the question about money?

To me if you can send me money and goodies then you do not have to beg for money. Use your money smarter that is what I would do.

And besides sending me all that stuff also is not very good for the enviroment. Now there is more plastic ending on the landfill because I can’t use all those goodies. And then there is the waste of paper.

I am pretty sure if they would not have send all those begging letters the world would have less MS because less pollution would be better for out health I am sure we do not have to get more prove of that!

Loading a Backpack

Monday, November 10th, 2008

Here are some handy tips I found about loading a Backpack

  • To start, buy a bag with only as much volume as you’ll need on your longest trip; Backpacks get heavier as they get bigger. 65-80 Liters are about right for a long-weekend trip.
  • Protect your sleeping bag from the elements; keep it in a waterproof storage sack in the bottom compartment of you Backpack.
  • Balance your load. Keep clothing, cookware and food in the main compartment. The items farthest from your back should be the lightest. The heaviest gear should be stowed toward your back and centered in the pack to provide proper balance. Remeber to tighten all compression straps to limit any load-shifting.
  • Keep essentials handy. Stash your sunglasses, guidebook, map, compass, water bottle, camera and other essentials in the handiest outer pockets.

Nokia 2760 speaker volume

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

I noticed that the volume of my Nokia 2760 cell phone was a bit low and now how do I get to hear better well it is simple.

Just call someone or let receive a call and then press the right control to make the volume go up. It will remember the setting so from then on you get to hear a little bit better.
